Who is ecomCyndy?

ecomCyndy

Hi! I'm Cyndy Schatz.

The importance of learning is not lost on me. I've spent over $100,000 for 2 college degrees and paid well over $100,000 for online training, courses and coaching over the years. There's always something to learn and I have been a lifetime student.

I would like to think I'm different from a lot of online coaches I've encountered - and paid - over the years. Some just try to get you in at a low price, pretend to teach, but leave out half the details, so as to "force" you to buy into more detailed training. Then you buy into it and really they just suck at teaching. They may be a great marketer and speak eloquently, but they talk over you, as if you should already know what you paid them to teach you. Others mean well and try to teach, but just don't quite know how to teach in a way for beginners to learn. I've even paid for courses where their sales pitch sounded so advanced, only to discover I already knew the information they were wrapping up and labeling as advanced or "new" technology.

I love teaching and making a difference in the lives of others. Over the years I have taught college level courses, technical training, and done business consulting. When I teach, I am very detailed, like beyond a college course, with step by steps showing you full details on how to accomplish course goals. I want my students to leave my classes with new understanding and new information and be much better prepared than before becoming my student.

I haven't always been an ecommerce business owner, but I have owned many businesses over 25 years.

Before that - I'm aging myself here, but with age comes wisdom; my first career was in Mechanical Engineering working in the CAD/CAM software industry. I evolved into Web Development and Advertising, ending up with a second degree in Business Management focused on Entrepreneurship. Then, I owned a Full Service Advertising & Web Development Agency for 23 years.

Over the years I have helped build over 100 multi-million dollar businesses with client relationships that lasted up to 20 years. I worked with many until their retirement and three until their death. Needless to say, I was dedicated to my clients and they were immensely loyal to me.

In 2017, I discovered POD (Print On Demand aka Produce on Demand) and started dabbling in selling on Ebay, Etsy, Amazon and through my own custom websites using woo-commerce. I had a little success here and there, but wasn't fully dedicated to it with my agency continuing to grow during that time. I want to retire by the end of 2025 and decided ecommerce would help me transition away from my ad agency and building an online business asset to sell would be what I call my "retirement project". (Build, Sell, Retire.)

In 2021, I transitioned away from my advertising agency and built two Shopify ecommerce stores, a fashion brand and a family gift brand. Fashion proved incredibly expensive with up to 30% returns and I grew weary of that money pit, not willing to put in the time and money it would take to become profitable.

In 2022, I joined a mastermind for building ecommerce and in 2023 went full-force into growing my family gift brand. I was fortunate to have some 7-8 figure mentors and learned the ad strategies it takes to scale to a multi-million dollar ecommerce brand.

As of January 1, 2025 I have reached lifetime sales of $1.8Million with ecommerce.

Now, I would like to pass on everything I've learned over these years. Before I retire, I want to make a real difference in some lives, teach some men to fish as the saying goes. If you would like to learn how to make six to seven figures in sales this year, sign up for my course Building Ecommerce: FROM NOTHING. I teach about  selling products fulfilled by ShineOn, my biggest print on demand partner, but also include some other print on demand providers like Printify and other kinds of product sourcing.

I am a Verified Coach for ShineOn and have mini courses available in their POD University Training Center. I contribute at least one new POD University mini-course every quarter.
